Meeting between Wyndham and Retlaw
Retlaw: Well, I've spoken with some of my friends on the steering comitee, and I think we are all in agreement that your project is the right thing to do.
Thomas Wyndham: What you want from this deal, I can do it.
Retlaw: So you continually tell us.
Thomas Wyndham: And W.R.? Some of his devices...
Retlaw: I'm told that your cathedral project is already proving quite effective, he will appear before the administration to be dangerous and insane very shorty: the details are still being worked out.
Thomas Wyndham: He could have been a powerful ally. Pity is not on my agenda today though.
Retlaw: Yes, a genious, no doubt, you need not be concerned. As soon as we have your specifications, we will arrange for the work to begin.
Thomas Wyndham: Excellent. I know it will take a few years to come to fruition, but I'd like to talk about publicity.
Retlaw: Publicity? My superiors... ah, the steering comittee, consider absolute secrecy to be far more appropriate.
Thomas Wyndham: I will explain later. One last thing though, I have a name for the submarine, that's not negotiable.
